Tricia Serio received the ASCB Mid-Career Award for Excellence in Research

Tricia Serio, professor and head of the MCB Department, has been selected for the mid-career award in research excellence from American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB), for her work on the dynamics and functional consequences of protein misfolding, with a focus on prion proteins. The Mid-Career Award for Excellence in Research is awarded to an investigator within 7 to 15 years of her first independent appointment who has made exceptional scientific contributions to cell biology and who exemplifies a high level of scientific endeavor and leadership.
