Seminar Information

Cancer is a ubiquitous problem for multicellular species and a leading cause of death in humans. The patterns and prevalence of cancer in humans is well understood, but what insights into disease prevention do we gain when we study those patterns across the tree of life? This talk will focus on the deep history of cancer across species and what the evolution of cancer suppression mechanisms means for preventing cancer today.
