To be considered for the Accelerated Master's Program in MCB, students must meet these criteria at the time of application:
- current, continuing University of Arizona undergraduate; students from any major at the U of A will be considered
- minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3
- a minimum of one year of research experience.
- completed at least 75 units of undergraduate course work (a minimum of 12 undergraduate units must have been completed in the student's major at University of Arizona's main campus).
- at least one full undergraduate semester left before graduation with bachelor’s degree, preferably two semesters.
- completed the following courses:
- Students who begin their undergraduate degree in the Fall 2026 semester or later:
MCB 284, MCB 304, MCB 305. MCB 306 will be taken in their senior year along with graduate courses. - Students who began their undergraduate degree before Fall 2026:
MCB 304, MCB 305, MCB 306.
- Students who begin their undergraduate degree in the Fall 2026 semester or later:
It is acceptable if one of these courses is in progress at the time of application.
