Hometown: Phoenix, Arizona

Minors: Health and Human Values (HHV) and Spanish.

Research lab: I am in Dr. Yao’s lab studying the regulatory mechanisms of non-dividing cellular states (quiescence and senescence) using Rat Embryonic Fibroblast cells.

Clubs and other activities: I am involved in the Pickleball Club, Partnerships through Honors (PATH), and volunteer at Banner Health’s Cancer Center, Z Mansion (a low-barrier homeless shelter), and with Habitat for Humanity. I love playing golf and crafting.

The best thing about being an ambassador: I love attending outreach events to get students excited about and more informed about our amazing MCB major.

Favorite classes: MCB 325: The Biology of Cancer, PSIO 201, and MCB 304: Molecular Genetics.
