Research lab: I am currently in Dr. Toshinobu Kazui's Cardiothoracic Surgery Lab. We serve as a clinical, translational, dry, and wet lab, working with human patients at the Banner University Medical Center in Tucson. Our research is primarily focused on understanding and preventing negative outcomes in cardiac surgery.

Clubs and other activities: I am currently the president of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association. Additionally, I serve as a Chief Science Officer, a student Ambassador for STEM and student voice-related conversations in the community, working to actively change STEM education and policy. When I have free time, I love listening to or playing music (guitar/piano), watching movies, and soccer.

The best thing about being an ambassador: The opportunity to help students feel at home when they are on campus. Coming to the UA as a freshman, I am thankful for the MCB program, the faculty, and my MCB mentor (shoutout Kate!) that helped me find my community on campus.

Favorite classes: MCB 325, and MCB 425. I would love to chat more about these!
