What inspired you to pursue your field of study? Was there a defining moment that shaped your goals or direction?

I’ve always been interested in understanding disease at a deeper, molecular level, but my work with drug-resistant cancer cell lines in Dr. Nathan Ellis’s lab really solidified that interest. Seeing how cancer cells adapt and survive under therapeutic pressure made me realize how complex these challenges are, and it pushed me toward pursuing cancer biology as a long-term goal.

What achievement are you most proud of, and why?

I am most proud of my work studying drug-resistant colon cancer cell lines. This experience challenged me to think critically about experimental design and data interpretation, and it gave me a deeper appreciation for the complexity of cancer biology. Being able to contribute to research that addresses real limitations in treatment was especially meaningful.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation, I plan to pursue a PhD in cancer biology and continue working in research, with the goal of contributing to advancements in cancer treatment and therapeutic development.
