Students have the opportunity to find and develop your interests through a broad-based experience. Find your passion with mentorship from world-class professors.
  • In addition to core classes and electives in MCB, students can select courses in Biochemistry, Ecology, Microbiology, Plant Science, Physiology, and more.
  • Students in the Health & Human Genetics, Education & Communication, and Systems & Big Data Biology sub-plans can switch to the Molecular & Cellular Biology sub-plan at any time without taking additional units to graduate.
  • Health & Human Genetics, Education & Communication, and Systems & Big Data Biology are specialized sub-plans that will appear on a student’s transcript and diploma.  The Molecular & Cellular Biology sub-plan is a general course of MCB study and is not annotated separately from the major on a transcript or diploma.
