The Major
Most MCB undergraduates choose to earn a Bachelor of Science degree. The major includes core courses in Introductory Biology, Molecular Basis of Life, Molecular Genetics, Cell & Developmental Biology, and Metabolic Biochemistry.
Students select from one of three tracks, called sub-plans, to personalize their major.
We also offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology.
Which MCB sub-plan is right for you?
Whatever your interest, MCB encourages students to undertake independent laboratory research to complement required coursework.
The MCB B.S. degree meets the pre-requisite requirements for most medical schools; many MCB majors are pre-med.
