Seminar Information
Plants inhabit chemically complex environments and rely on finely tuned molecular systems to interpret both biotic and abiotic cues. This seminar draws on a chemical ecology framework to examine plant responses to natural signaling compounds involved in defense and stress communication, alongside emerging work on plant interactions with synthetic organophosphate esters in contaminated river systems. Together, these examples highlight shared cellular and molecular strategies that shape plant resilience in an increasingly altered chemical landscape.
