Carol Bender named AAAS Fellow
Congratulations to MCB faculty member and University Distinguished Outreach Professor Carol Bender for being elected as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), a distinction awarded to those who are advancing science in ways that are considered scientifically or socially distinguished.
Professor Bender is the director of the Undergraduate Biology Research Program (UBRP) at UA. She was elected as an AAAS Fellow "for distinguished contributions to the assessment of undergraduate science research experiences nationally and internationally, including the impact of research experiences on career trajectories and satisfaction." Professor Bender was among the three UA faculty members named AAAS Fellows this year. For more details, see here.
