To survive, cells must respond to a variety of external and internal cues in different ways. Signaling hubs are a variety of specific proteins, each responsible for incorporating inputs from many different pathways and aiding in the cell’s decision between possible responses. The Forkhead Box O (Foxo) proteins are a family of signaling hubs that act as transcription factors. I'm interested in how the dynamics of activation of Foxo1 impact cellular response to different stresses.
