Research Topic:

Investigating the role of transcriptional gene silencing and RNA-directed DNA methylation on genomic imprinting and seed development in Brassica rapa. We study this with a combination of molecular biological and bioinformatics approaches. Complementary to this work, the development of bioinformatic workflows for epigenomic data in collaboration with CyVerse and the Lyons Lab.

Hobbies:

Playing guitar, traveling, checking out all the local craft beer.
