MCB Joint Seminar: Jiancheng Hu "RAF Signaling in Cancer Biology: From Molecular Mechanism to Targeted Therapy"

Principal Investigator/Associate Professor, National Cancer Centre Singapore/Duke-NUS Medical School

"The Ser/Thr kinase RAF is a core component of RAS/RAF/MEK/ERK signaling cascade that plays a central role in cell biology. Aberrant activation of RAF Kinase leads to many human diseases, particularly cancers. Dr. Hu's group at National Cancer Centre Singapore and Duke-NUS Medical School employs molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology approaches as well as animal models to understand molecular mechanisms that regulate the activity of RAF kinase under physiological and pathological conditions, and hence develops precise therapeutics for treating diseases caused by hyperactive RAF signaling. In this seminar, He will present the recent findings from his group as well as future research plans."
