MCB will begin supporting professional development for MCB doctoral students with the Domestic Travel Award beginning Spring 2018. This award is intended to enable doctoral students to pursue a professional development opportunity (e.g. Cold Spring Harbor, Woods Hole, etc.), or to attend a student's first scientific meeting/conference. MCB will award up to $1,000 for travel costs. This award is for domestic travel only--there is a separate award for international travel.
Current BMCB Doctoral Student in an MCB lab
Support of PI for travel
Personal Statement: No more than 300 words explaining why this travel is important to the student's career
Letter of Support: From PI of student's lab, noting if alternate funding is available
Budget: Justification of expenses up to $1,000 (transportation, lodging, per diem, etc.). Budget must comply with UA travel policies.
Applications are due May 1. Awardees will be selected by the MCB awards committee and will be notified by June 1.
